Excel: Why You Should Download the Most Popular Spreadsheet Software
Microsoft Excel is a premium and most popular spreadsheet program on the market and an essential tool to organize, manipulate and analyze all kinds of data. You can download Excel as a standalone program, as part of the Office productivity suite, or through the Microsoft 365 subscription service. Even though there are very similar free alternatives such as Google Sheets or Sheets, Excel is still the must-use software for data analysis, managing lists, and business performance reporting.

With the arrival of Windows 11, Microsoft Excel received a new version with new tools and features. These new features focus mainly on collaboration with other team members. We recommend you check this list before downloading Excel if you're considering updating. In addition to a completely revamped interface, the 2021 version of the program includes the following:
The installation files for Office LTSC 2021 are available on the Office Content Delivery Network (CDN) on the internet instead of on the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC). You can install Office LTSC 2021 directly from the Office CDN. Or, you can download the installation files from the Office CDN to a location on your local network, such as a shared folder, and install Office LTSC 2021 from that location. You can use different methods for different sets of devices in your organization. Whichever method you choose, you use the ODT.
After you download the Office Deployment Tool, double-click on the officedeploymenttool executable (.exe) file to extract the ODT files. When you're finished, you should have several files: setup.exe and some sample configuration.xml files. For an Office LTSC 2021-specific sample, see Sample configuration.xml file to use with the Office Deployment Tool.
The setup.exe file is the ODT and is a command-line tool that supports downloading and installing Office LTSC 2021. The configuration.xml files are sample files to get you started. You use the configuration.xml file to provide settings for the ODT to use when downloading or installing Office LTSC 2021. The configuration.xml is a simple xml file that can be created and edited in any text editor, such as Notepad. You can name the file anything that you want, as long as it retains the xml file extension.
Once you have a copy of the ODT, you need to create a configuration.xml file. You can create multiple configuration.xml files to be used with the ODT. For example, you can create a configuration.xml file to download and install the 64-bit version of Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021 in English. Then, you can create a different configuration.xml file to install the 32-bit version of Visio LTSC Professional 2021 in French. When you run the ODT from an elevated command prompt, you specify which configuration.xml file to use.
There are a series of settings in the configuration.xml file that you configure to customize the Office LTSC 2021 download or installation. The following table lists the most common settings to configure in the configuration.xml file.

I have one requirement to Download Excel file from my OneDrive to my local device (desktop/laptop). I have got Excel file's web url from PowerAutomate and passed it to PowerApps and then using Download(link_of_excel_file) function in PowerApps I tried to download it. But the file is opening in Browser instead of getting downloaded.
The Download function will, in fact, download a file as requested, but it is up to the browser to determine how to handle it. Your browser understands to open the file in the browser and not prompt for a "save" option. If the browser does not know how to handle a file, it will prompt to save/download it locally.
Thanks for your reply. Actually not having such Sharepoint sites so I didnot understand how to implement your solution. Excel files are present in OneDrive. Hence I tried by appending "?download=1" after the URL. But in all browsers it is showing that Pop-ups blocked to redirect the url. If I copy and paste the whole url in a new tab it is downloading smoothly in local system.

Until recently I was able to open Excel files from Dropbox on my iPhone. Now the message "downloading" appears with a spinning wheel but the file never downloads. Attempting to cancel the download has the same response. Using Numbers has the same effect. I have deleted and downloaded the Excel app but this does not fix the problem.
The file is still showing that is downloading from Dropbox. It was running for 5 minutes and nothing is happening. I reistalled the app to see if it will fix the issue but it didn't. What other fixes can there be?
This will download either a tab-delimited (.txt) or comma-separated-values (.csv) spreadsheet that lists one student per row. You can open this file in Excel (or an Excel-like app, such as Mac Numbers or Google Sheets, etc.). Select OK to return to the Grade Center.
